Sleep, Nap, Snooze is a children's book project by Mic Schut. This page explains, in plain language, what information this website collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
When someone takes part in Book 2 voting, we collect:
- First name
- Email address
- The animal selected
- Whether they chose to receive future emails
- The date and time of the submission, and of consent when it was given
- The source of the signup (which form on the site it came from)
Why we collect it
- To record and administer Book 2 voting
- To help prevent duplicate votes
- To understand interest in future Sleep, Nap, Snooze content
If someone separately chooses the marketing opt-in, their email address may also be used to send occasional Sleep, Nap, Snooze news, animal sleep facts, activities, educational resources and book updates.
Voting does not automatically subscribe anyone to marketing emails. Only people who actively check the opt-in box are treated as email subscribers.
Storage
Submissions are stored in this website's database, hosted by the website and infrastructure providers used to run sleepnapsnooze.com. The stored information is not published anywhere on the site and is not available to other visitors.
Marketing
Marketing emails are only sent to people who actively opted in. If email updates are sent through an email platform in the future, only opted-in contacts would be included, and every email would include a way to unsubscribe.
Data requests
Anyone can ask to see or remove the information associated with their email address. Send a request through the contact details listed on the About page and it will be handled as soon as possible.
Children
This website is written for families, but forms are intended to be completed by a parent, guardian or teacher.
